Unusual conditions.
There is no doubt that during the last few months weather patterns across the world have registered unusual extremes. While many are quick to blame global warming the truth may not be
as simple. We believe the main culprits are the current solar maximum together with the effects of a powerful planetary alignment which has still not run its course. Only after these two events are well and truly
over will it be possible to evaluate the real effects of global warming.
Realistic Picture.
Unfortunately it may be some time before we gain a realistic picture of what is really happening to the climate. The current solar maximum will continue for at least another year,
and this will run into the effects of yet another major planetary alignment in early summer of 2001.
Complex Mixture.
While we would be the last to overlook the real damage that is being done to the environment we would urge caution before jumping to conclusions. The planet is definitely changing, yet
the real reasons are likely to involve a complex mixture of forces and factors that are poorly understood. Pollution is definitely a factor in global warming but as this site illustrates, it is by no means the only
one.
