The true voice of enquiry.

We support The Worlds Flag.

What future do we have?

No one likes to consider their mortality, and with the human race this is perhaps the deepest failing. It may help to explain that when it comes to the well being of the planet we develop a collective blindness to the very real damage we are causing. The truth is that this legacy of abuse is now so well advanced that only the harshest of remedial methods will suffice to pull us through. Yet as this site shows there is almost no movement towards this goal. All we have is the same mistaken belief that eventually we will muddle through.

The ultimate price.

The unfortunate thing is that whereas human adversaries allow for a modicum of mercy there is no such concession when our battle is with nature and the forces that control it. In this dispassionate battlefield those that offend against the natural elements pay the ultimate price.

This is why we have so much to fear. We have poisoned this world we live in and ultimately the natural sense of order that defends against abuse, eliminates those elements that spoil things for the rest.

Shared planet.

As a race we appear to have forgotten that we share this planet with many other species. In this respect we have definite responsibilities yet our selfish actions have now led to the point where within a very short time at least a quarter of the animal kingdom will have been exterminated. Although the greater bulk of this loss will be due to loss of natural habitats, another prime cause is global warming. It means that since we ourselves are part of the animal kingdom this threat of extinction will eventually tap on our door as well.

Forlorn hope.

The truth is that we face many dangers, and as this site illustrates not all of these are under our control. This makes it all the more imperative to increase our chances of survival by doing all the right things in the areas where we do have some degree of influence. However this would appear to be something of a forlorn hope. Warning after warning has gone unheeded and the point is now approaching where noticeable changes to the planets well being will form no more than a prelude to the greater catastrophe that will follow hard on its heels.

Cumulative factors.

The fact is, that if it is not already too late, then we are fast approaching the point of no return. Cumulative factors involving high pollution levels mean the planet is soaking up levels of intoxication that will soon be released back into the atmosphere with devastating consequences. And remember this is only part of the threat we face.

The dangers.

As this site shows the sun is warming up dramatically. Added to that we face threats from air pollution, killer viruses, water shortage, asteroids, and dozens of other factors, each one of which is capable of exterminating all life on Earth. The certainty is that eventually one or more of these threats will lead to our demise. This could happen at any moment, and the fact it has not already done so is a matter of extreme good fortune.

Not much of a future.

As for our continued survival it is clear we do not have much of a future. In fact based on the current evidence we will struggle to make it through the next 50 years. We would go so far as to say that beyond this period only Divine intervention can hope to give us any sort of worthwhile future!
