Our View

The pace and accomplishments of the technological revolution often deceives humanity into believing there is very little of what we see around us that still needs explanation. Especially misleading is the way we also mistake technical prowess and achievement for true knowledge and wisdom. The two are most definitely not the same and here lies the danger. Utilising new technology has its advantages. Yet the real challenge is knowing how best to harness it without detriment to ourselves or the environment.

So much more.

There is still so much about the universe humanity does not understand. Unfortunately under current investigative methods Mankind stands little chance of unlocking these secrets. Here the impediment is an in built reluctance to accept anything beyond what can be seen or touched.

This needs to change. If not we shall forever remain ignorant of the real wealth of knowledge that is just waiting to be found. Discoveries that will transform every area of our lives in a way that brings full harmony between ourselves and the universe that surrounds us.

But will it ever happen?

Advanced Species?

Humanity assumes it has come of age - that we are now an advanced species! The truth is we are nothing of the sort. We fight wars and discriminate between each other. We are pleased to accept poverty and starvation, and pollute the very atmosphere that maintains life on this planet.

We impose laws that benefit some more than others, and rule each other under a natural tendency to cheat and exploit. Moreover we employ a form of medicine that is little short of barbarous, and indulge in habits that are harmful to our well being!

And then we call ourselves advanced!

Time Pressure.

The truth is that the society that behaves in this manner hastens its own destruction. If left unchecked humanity will almost certainly destroy itself and there is definite time pressure to find the answers. This will not be easy. The vested interests of major industry mean that  short time gains will always outweigh long term considerations even if this brings us face to face with the threat of our own extinction.

Immediate Action.

Unfortunately the facts speak for themselves. Even if we took immediate action it would still be too late to save the thousands of species we have already condemned to extinction. But of course the real question is not whether we have the will to save the animal kingdom - as we clearly don’t - but whether we have the sense to save ourselves.
